YIC Conducts Party 'Health Check' for its Party Members

In order to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era and to implement the Danzhou Municipal CPC Committee's work requirements for "Great Emancipation of Thought, Great Change of Work Style, Great Improvement of Ability, Great Investment Promotion for All People, and Great Development of Danzhou", on the morning of October 26, YIC organized a trip for its party members, prospective party members, and potential membership candidates. They visited the former site of the Lianchang Experimental Station of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, and the Party Spirit Education and Spiritual Examination Center for CPC Members in Danzhou City. They carried out "Party Spirit Examination" and studied various facets of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, including its the history of its establishment and struggles, its continued devotion to the spirit of "hard work". From their visit, spiritual examination and learning more about the history of the academy, they drew the strength to move forward. At the former site of the Lianchang Experimental Station, YIC's party members, prospective party members and potential membership candidates listened carefully to the history of the construction of the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, learned about the history of its workers' struggles to move forward, and reflected upon their "selfless dedication, hard work, unity and cooperation, and innovative spirit". At the end of the tour, all Party members recited the Party oath in front of the bright-red party flag to remind themselves not to forget their original intention and remember the mission as members of the CPC. As they vigorously recited the oath, it was as if they had been taken back in time to the moment when they first joined the Party, reinvigorating their faith, ideals and Party awareness. On the second stop of the activity day, the group came to the Party Spirit Education and Spiritual Examination Center for CPC Members in Danzhou City. They intently watched the party history film. They then moved on to the Hall of Correct Appearance, examined the advanced wall and the fallen wall, and considered the following statement while standing in front of the mirror: "emulate those better than yourself and reflect on your actions in their absence." They also visited the spiritual corridor and the preventative education department. Here, they underwent spiritual examination by answering questions, reviewed the Party oath, sang the national anthem and signed letters of commitment. These acts further strengthened their ideals, beliefs, and confidence to follow the party and achieved the purpose of self-education, self-transformation, self-improvement and self-enhancement. The day's events deeply touched all those who took part. They expressed that they will continue to carry forward the spirit of "selfless dedication, hard work, unity and cooperation, and courage to innovate" in the future, emancipate their minds, shoulder heavy burdens, and perform their duties faithfully. They also expressed their dedication to contributing more to accelerating the integration of Danzhou and Yangpu and the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
