The two sides held discussions on various topics, including how to make full use of Hainan FTP (Free Trade Port) policy and promote the implementation of meat processing projects in the Danzhou-Yangpu Economic Circle (DYEC). They also conducted in-depth exchanges on issues such as the role of the Internet of Things, digitization and automation within industry to aid the construction of the International Health Food Port park and seeking common development.

During the discussions, Zhang Zhe, Executive Vice President of Yangpu International, mentioned that at the International Health Food Port Industry Conference held at the end of last year, the YIC Management Committee and LiuGong Group had signed a strategic cooperation agreement and reached a consensus on mutually beneficial development. At present, the integrated development of Danzhou and Yangpu has endowed the DYEC with unprecedented development opportunities. As a 10-billion-level industry cluster within the DYEC, targeted investment promotion work on health food processing is being actively carried out, which will provide critical support for the development of Hainan's big health industry in the future.  It is also expected that LiuGong Group and YIC will diversify business cooperation at a deeper level in more areas such as food processing to further expand space for development.

Later, Li Zhenxi, General Manager of Liuzhou United Meat Processing Plant Co., Ltd., briefed YIC regarding LiuGong Group and the meat industry subsidiaries under the group. Li Zhenxi said that LiuGong Group owns industries such as equipment manufacturing, food processing and cold-chain logistics, adopting the national strategy of “the Belt and Road” to lead international expansion. Liuzhou United Meat Processing Plant Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of LiuGong Group, is the only state-owned broiler processing enterprise in Liuzhou, and its annual slaughter volume ranks among the top in the city. It undertakes important welfare projects supported by the development of the cold chain industry in central Guangxi and is also working to take Guangxi's characteristic agricultural products global. The visit demonstrates LiuGong Group HQ’s optimism about the development prospects of Danzhou-Yangpu integration and confidence in their investment within the DYEC. LiuGong United Meat processing operations will fully utilize its advantages, planning to land meat processing industry projects in the DYEC, and share in the development successes of the Hainan FTP.
