Recently, a series of special training courses on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) was held by the Ministry of Commerce. Yu Lu, vice president of China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce and Animal By-products (CFNA), Yangpu International’s strategic partner promoted Yangpu International Health Food Port to key enterprises in the special session on “Opportunities and Challenges Facing China's Agricultural Products Trade under the Background of RCEP”. More than 70,000 people participated in the online live training. When explaining the development opportunities brought by RCEP, Yu Lu suggested that enterprises should combine RCEP with the Hainan Free Trade Port policy and choose the best development model. Taking Yangpu International Health Food Port as an example, Yu analyzed the comprehensive policy dividends that can be obtained once industries such as tropical fruit processing and new protein food processing including plant-based foods settle in Yangpu, and encouraged enterprises to settle in Yangpu and make good use of markets and resources in the Chinese Mainland, RCEP member countries and the world. Those enterprises are encouraged to effectively implement the RCEP agreement, participate in the construction of the free trade port with Chinese characteristics, and serve the global agricultural trade, added Yu.
